This day is always a special one for us, a day of just pure joy. I hope that you have a taste of that this evening as well. We will try to post pictures on Facebook to give you an opportunity to see all the fun.
All Saints Day
Please join us for All Saints Day Mass at noon tomorrow 11/1. This is an important feast, a holy day of obligation, where we honor those holy men and women who have gone before us. We will not have an 8:30 Mass tomorrow.
Early Release Day
Just a reminder that all students will take part in the Early Release day next Wednesday 11/6. This means buses will pick up students and all will be dismissed at 12:15 that day. Please make arrangements for your child and let the office know if their afternoon plans are different than usual.
Church of St. Philip Turkey Dinner
All are welcome to join us for the annual Turkey Dinner at St. Philip Church this Sunday. The meal is delicious and it is a great way to support those who support us!
In November we at the School of St. Philip take part in Food Share Month. We hope that all families will help contribute to our food drive and support families in need in our community. We will begin collecting food donations next Monday and continue through 11/21.
Conference Sign-up Reminder
If you have not yet accessed the online conference sign-up, please do so ASAP. We want to be sure that all families have a slot and are able to meet with any teachers they want to see. Mrs. Wedin, our Title I reading teacher, will be available both days for the first 45 minutes if you are interested in learning more about your child’s progress in this area.
Accreditation Site Visit
Our site visit is just around the corner (November 14-15), so I wanted you to have a heads-up that you may receive a phone call from one of the team members. Part of the team’s job when they visit is to connect with parents and gather their feedback. They often use their cell phones, so if you don’t recognize the number, don’t be alarmed -- please take the call. We know that our school families have much to share, so I hope you take this opportunity.
Many thanks to Nick Olson, Jared Culbertson, and Melissa Thompson for taking on our new Hiking Club. The students are having a blast!
