MEEKER AREA FOOD SHELF DRIVE

Throughout the year we look for opportunities to teach our students the importance of service to others. We do this internally with our 5th grade/K buddies program, 5th grader patrols, taking turns raising the flag each day, and hosting Mass. It is now time for our first all school service project. We are having a food drive for the Meeker Area Food Shelf. From now until November 20th we are collecting non-perishable food and/or cash. We will then make an appointment to deliver the food to the food shelf one day before they open to the public. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will make that delivery.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES

This year's fall conferences are Tuesday, November 10th and Thursday , November 12th from 3:15-6:30 p.m. You were sent a link to sign up for your conference time. If you have not scheduled your time, please do so right away. If neither of those dates work for you, please contact your child's teacher directly to reschedule. Because of COVID-19, we are not allowing anyone but the parents to attend fall conferences. Please leave other family members and children at home. Thank you so much.

BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS

We have four friends celebrating birthdays this week. Happy Birthday to Lukas Olson (11-1), Gabriel Jasso (11-5), Owen Lawrence {11-6), and Hadley Beam (11-6). May God bless each of them on the day of their birth.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Halloween kicks of the fall celebrating season. Next it will be Thanksgiving and before you know it Advent and Christmas will be here. This should be a fun and joyous time for everyone. Unfortunately, many of the traditions will have to look very different this year. All of the staff at school are dedicated to keeping your child in school in as long as possible. We are taking every precaution possible. We can not do it without you. Please talk to your children about how important it is for them to keep wearing their masks whenever they go anywhere. Remind them to keep their distance. Asymptomatic people don't know that they are ill. We each have to protect ourselves and each other.

TIMELY REMINDERS

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS ENDS

Remember to set your clocks back an hour on Saturday night. We want everyone to be on time for school on Monday.

TARDY CHILDREN

We ask that all students be in class at 8:00 each morning. Classes start at 8:05 a.m. each day. Children arriving after 8:05 a.m. will be marked tardy. If a bus is running late we let the teachers know so that those children are not counted tardy.
