November 13th Newsletter
FOOD SHELF COLLECTION
We continue to collect food for the Meeker Area Food Shelf. We have a good start but would love to see our table overflow. We have from now until November 20th to collect more non-perishable food and/or cash. The following week, the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will deliver what we have collected.
We had a wonderful service gathered around our flagpole. You can check it out the entire event on our Facebook page. Past commander Tom Westrum organized this event and we want to thank him. We also want to thank Poppy Petal Floral. We asked if they could create a patriotic wreath for our service. Not only did they create a beautiful wreath, but when they found out it was for Veterans Day, they donated it. It will be at the base of our flagpole everyday throughout November. We are grateful to everyone for making this event a success.
GREAT TECHNOLOGY NEWS!
Our chrome books are on their way. We are getting them licensed and then will load the apps that we use. Then the students will begin using them. We were able, with the help of Nuvera, to get one for each of our third, fourth and fifth graders. Thank you again to everyone that donated money towards our technology needs. You have answered our prayers.
We have three birthdays next week. They are Lucas Elwell (11-15), Fr. Jeff (11-17) and Nolan Heid (11-20). We ask for God to bless them on this special day and that they have many more birthdays.
I am always happy to end another week with no cases of COVID-19 in our students or staff. Please keep doing everything you can to keep our school and everyone in it healthy. We can only stay face to face with your help.
P.S. We just heard that the Litchfield School will be moving to distance learning. We are not going to do that at this point in time. I will send home a letter as we will be transitioning to Tier 3 soon and what the ramifications of public school distance learning are for us.
