St Nicholas Clue #9

Nicholas was Bishop of Myra.  He was often referred to as “boy bishop”, becoming a bishop at the age of only 30 years. 

 

As the story goes, not long after Nicholas became a priest, the Bishop of Myra dies.  The people said that the first man to enter the church the next morning was to be there new bishop.  As usual Nicholas arose very early and went to church.  The people waiting there saw him and said: “Nicholas is to be our new bishop, it is the will of God”.

 

Nicholas lived his life in faithful service to God teaching people about God.
