I am blessed to be the new principal at the School of St. Philip. God has brought me to this place and with his guidance we will continue the wonderful tradition that is the School of St. Philip.
I graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City, IA with a degree in elementary education and minors in music and psychology. I have two master’s degrees, in curriculum & instruction and administration. Both are from Minnesota State University Mankato. I have over 25 years of experience in education in both public and private schools.
My husband, Steven, and I have two grown children and four grandchildren. We enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. We all enjoy boating and fishing, gardening, and indoor and outdoor games. I am an avid baker and like to try new recipes or creating my own.

Ms. Melissa Thompson
Hello! I am so excited, and blessed, to be a part of this wonderful community at the School of St. Philip! I spent multiple years as a parent volunteer and absolutely loved it. Now I get to have fun wearing many different hats as an official support staff member. You will see me running around helping with recess, lunch, cleaning and assisting the many wonderful teachers and staff with any help they may need. No job is too big, or too small, when you are doing something you love!
I was born and raised in Southern California, and moved out to Minnesota in 2005 after taking a vacation out here with my sister to visit relatives. I just fell in love with this beautiful state and knew that this is where I wanted to be. My family and I lived in a couple of different towns before moving to Litchfield in 2013. Both my son and niece attend St. Philips. It is such a joy to be able to see them everyday at school! I enjoy reading, kayaking, drinking coffee, helping my parents out in the yard/garden (oddly enough, I like to pull weeds), and just being with my family.
